Product Description
We've had lots of projects where regular 1/8" rotary power tools couldn't cut the mustard but a 1/4" air or electric die grinder were too much; this flex shaft grinder is the perfect in-between tool. Beefy 2.3amp motor has twice the power of typical hand-held rotary tools so it can handle, for instance, a 2-1/2" buffing wheel that makes our brand-name rotary tool quickly overheat. You do lose some speed with the flex-shaft - 15,000 max RPM vs. 30,000 for smaller tools - but we've never had an instance where that impeded our project. Keyed chuck with 5/32" capacity accepts all bits and accessories with shank sizes 3/32", 1/8" or 5/32" of almost any configuration - grinding stones & bits, sanding wheels/drums, buffing/polishing/cleaning brushes & wheels, saw blades, cut off wheels & more. Finally, the foot pedal speed control is a big deal to us - really handy being able to adjust speed on the fly without having to set down workpiece or lose concentration. Complete set weighs 5 lbs and includes grinder motor, 3-1/2' flex shaft with 5/32" chuck, chuck key, 5 mounted grinding stones and an extra set of motor brushes.
